Midlife, Leadership & Resilience: Rethinking Energy, Performance & Executive Presence
Skift Take
Women Leading Travel members will soon receive an invitation to an upcoming workshop exploring how midlife hormonal shifts affect energy, focus, resilience and leadership performance in high-pressure industries like travel.
For too long, midlife has been framed as something women simply need to “manage” or push through. But for leaders navigating demanding careers, global schedules and constant decision-making, understanding the connection between hormones, energy and performance is not personal wellness — it’s leadership strategy.
On June 24, Women Leading Travel will host a virtual Member Workshop with Annie Gaudreault focused on the intersection of midlife biology, executive performance and resilience. The session will examine how perimenopause and menopause can directly affect focus, stress tolerance, confidence and decision-making, all critical leadership assets often overlooked in professional conversations.
Designed specifically for senior women leaders, the workshop will connect women’s health science with the realities of leadership in the travel industry, where pressure, visibility and nonstop schedules rarely slow down. Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of what is happening physiologically during midlife and practical frameworks to better protect their energy, confidence and executive presence.
Women Leading Travel Member Workshops are interactive, member-only learning experiences led by industry experts and executive coaches. Held virtually on the last Wednesday of each quarter, the sessions are designed to balance practical leadership development with forward-looking conversations shaping the future of women’s leadership.
