Black Representation in Hotel Industry Leadership 2023

This is the fourth annual report on Black representation in leadership in the hotel industry, compiled by the Pennsylvania State University School of Hospitality Management with support from the American Hotel and Lodging Association Foundation and Castell, an AHLAF project. Overall, Black representation from the director to CEO levels has increased or held steady between 2021 and 2022, although most increases are small. The fact is that Black executives remain underrepresented in leadership at all levels in the hotel industry.
