Add Our New York City Roundtable to Your Fall Calendar
I love New York City in the fall ... and the winter, and spring, and summer! But the next Women Leading Travel & Hospitality Roundtable is Oct. 5, so right now autumn wins. These events are carefully curated for executive-level women in the industry, and include networking as well as honest, actionable content.
Barbara Bradley Baekgaard, co-founder and director of Vera Bradley, Inc., will be keynoting the event. Not content to stop with retail, Baekgaard continued her entrepreneurial endeavors with the 2021 opening of The Bradley, the first boutique hotel in her hometown of Fort Wayne, Indiana, which she designed in partnership with Provenance Hotels. A vibrant addition to the heart of the city’s downtown district, The Bradley has received accolades from Architectural Digest, Forbes, House Beautiful, Indianapolis Monthly, Midwest Living, and USA Today, among many others.
In addition to Baekgaard, panelists scheduled to speak at the New York City Roundtable include:
- Lucy Bueti, Vice President of Rental Cars, Priceline.com
Bueti leads various functions, including business strategy, operations, business development, supply partnerships, and global sales. She serves on the Women Impacting Priceline ERG committee and is an alumna member of Booking Holdings’ Women in Leadership Program. Since joining the company in 2008, Bueti has played a central role in growing Priceline’s business. Her positions include director of marketing and business development, online marketing manager, and general manager of Rentalcars.com and Airportrentalcars.com. - Maryssa Miller, Chief Product Officer, Mint House
Mint House is transforming the traditional hotel model and creating a new category of residential hospitality that's fundamentally changing the way we live, work and play away from home — all powered by technology. Currently operating in major U.S. cities including New York, Miami, Nashville, Denver, and Austin, Mint House’s high-tech, light-touch model naturally allows for self-sufficient travel via mobile check-in, keyless entry, digital concierge, pre-stocked grocery delivery, shoppable apartments, and on-demand fitness from MIRROR. - Anu Saxena, Global Head for Hilton Supply Management (HSM), Hilton
Saxena leads the largest global hospitality supply chain and operations services organization. She oversees services for more than 11,000 properties and 120-plus brands across 125 countries, influencing $11 billion in global spend with 3,000-plus suppliers, all while driving substantial savings and commercial performance for owners. She's a recognized thought leader responsible for the transformation of HSM’s business model into an industry-leading, customer-focused organization. Under her leadership, HSM has more than doubled its customer base.
Our final Roundtable of the year will take place in San Francisco at The Marker Hotel on Dec. 13. Learn more here.
