Why I'm Excited to Join This Community!

I'm thrilled to begin my journey as the new senior content and event strategist with Women Leading Travel & Hospitality and its sister brand, Women in Retail Leadership Circle. It’s an honor to join such an esteemed community, and I am excited to contribute to our shared mission.

As the newest member of this incredible organization, I have ambitious goals. My primary focus for the remainder of the year is to enhance and elevate the already exceptional membership experience. I plan to attract a diverse range of inspiring speakers, deliver outstanding content, and, most importantly, listen to your feedback to ensure I serve you effectively.

After reviewing event coverage and engaging with your posts and comments, I am truly impressed by the strength and brilliance of the women in this community.

A little bit about me ... Born into the hospitality industry, I worked at the front desk and reservations from a young age, given my family’s involvement in the hotel business. Unlike my high school peers who worked at local ice cream shops mostly, my career path began at the front desk checking in hotel guests. Throughout college, I worked my way up in the hospitality industry which I loved. After graduating and pursuing graduate studies, I transitioned to a career as a writer and producer, and eventually moved into entrepreneurship. While the pandemic shifted my path, it also provided the opportunity to rethink my next steps. I had been searching for a new role, one that aligned with my skills and passions.

This role as senior content and event strategist brings together all my previous experiences, creating a full-circle moment in my career.

Such perfectly timed synchronicity reminds me of advice my mother often shared, which she may have borrowed from Jonathan Livingston Seagull, but I will give her credit today: "The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step." She would also say, "You are right where you need to be" whenever I felt uncertain.

This advice resonates deeply with me today as I reflect on my career journey. I'm excited to embrace this opportunity and work with all of you. I encourage you to share your feedback and insights so that I can collaboratively enhance your experience within the community.
