Transforming culture isn't up to one person, said Qiana Spain, former executive vice president and chief human resources officer at Amtrak. Spain has more than two decades of human resources experience. She joined Amtrak in 2020 and was responsible for developing and executing the company’s HR strategy to support the long-term direction of the company. She oversaw Amtrak’s succession planning, talent management, change management, organizational and performance management, training and development, labor relations, and compensation. Spain previously led human resources at Siemens in Orlando, FL for the company’s gas and power division. In that role, Spain led her team in developing HR strategy and implementing programs to drive business performance for 14,000 employees across the U.S.
