Suzy Batiz, chief executive and visionary officer of ~Pourri, the maker of Poo~Pourrri, took the stage at our sister brand's Women in Retail Leadership Summit, held April 25-27 in Miami.

“I know at the end of my life, I will look back and even think the ‘bad’ times were perfect.” That is the mantra of entrepreneur Batiz, one of America’s richest self-made women. She's on a journey of liberation. Over the course of her life, Batiz has experienced poverty, sexual and domestic abuse, depression and two bankruptcies — all of which led to what she calls “the luxury of losing everything.” Realizing that something had to change, she prioritized self-care, let go of the past and turned an idea into a $500 million empire.
