Angela Brav Says Don’t ‘Help’ Other Women, Rather Uplift and Provide Opportunity

Angela Brav, president of Hertz International, spoke about the importance of women reaching out to other women during last month’s Women Leading Travel & Hospitality Virtual Exchange event.

Brav, who is interviewed by Quendrida Whitmore, executive coach and vice president, central territory at WeWork, emphasized the idea of making time to reach out to each other as opposed to “helping.”

“I don’t use the word help,” Brav said. “‘Women helping women,’ it sounds like we’re weak, like we just need help. We don’t need help, we need someone to reach out, pull us up, give us an opportunity, allow us to show that we’re ready for that top job.”
